The support class is arguably the most important class on Team Fortress 2. You will find the support class all over the map supporting the scouts. Support also keep the heavy stocked and ready.
The medic is an important part of Team Fortress 2 not seen on Counterstrike Source game servers. The syringe launcher is the medic's main weapon. Just as powerful, the medi gun is his secondary. He uses the bone saw for his melee weapon.
The main responsibility of the medic on Team Fortress 2 game servers is to heal. Thus you should find that all good medics will be at the front supporting the scouts and the soldier. While healing is their main job, staying out the firing line is also important. The medic's weapons are only mediocre as he should be focused on healing players using his medi gun. The medic will receive a bonus of 150% on his own health by healing other allies. However, once the medic stops healing, the friend's health will return to normal. Known as over healing, the charge bar will over fill and make the medic and his ally invulnerable for 10 seconds. This bonus is very effective when used with a heavy who is attacking a base and you're stood out of shot giving him a health boost. If you want to just keep your team mates happy and healthy on Team Fortress 2 servers then the medic gun awaits you!
It will come as no surprise that the sniper's main weapon is the sniper rifle. The sub machine gun is his secondary weapon. A machete is used as his melee weapon. The sniper is very difficult to target, as by the time you have, he's taken you out from long range. The sniper is for people who love to hang back and like to take their targets out without having to engage in a full on fire fight. The sniper works best if you are able to find the best spot. Once you have found your little hidey-hole the sniper can pick off targets like the heavy with ease. You can also if you can take out that medic that's healing the heavy. Once you've taken out the medic, it will allow your team to progress much quicker. Your shot will become more powerful the longer you stay scoped on your target. This is indicated by an expanding laser scope. On the downside, it is much harder to take out enemies at short range with the sniper.
The spy is the James Bond of Team Fortress 2 servers, using a cloak and disguises to blend in and sneak behind the enemy lines. With the butterfly knife he can take out foes in one smooth movement. However if you do move out of range you can be spotted, and the move isn't instant. The spy cannot use any of his weapons whilst cloaked and so will lose his current disguise if he uses anything but the electro sapper. The electro sapper will slowly drain the health of engineer's buildings before destroying them. The engineer can remove the sapper with a tap of his wrench, so make sure you take him out next. If you can see a spy's disguise that means he is friendly. If you fancy yourself as James Bond, the spy is worth a look.
