Cityville Guide, Hints For The Facebook Game

By Rachael Crones

With the ever popular growth of the social networking site of Facebook, so changes our computer gaming habits. One of these changes is to play games which use our network of friends to grow the online gaming experience. This article was written to provide information on one such online game, this is a Cityville guide.

To access Cityville, users first must sign up to Facebook (FB) and use the search function to find the game which is created by Zynga, unless you have friends who already have their own cities, inevitably you will be invited to join their game play experience with an invite to become a neighbor or to add your business to their municipality.

Once the terms and conditions have been accepted and the game has access which you have approved, growing your city is as easy as opening the game interface. Upon arrival in Cityville you are greeted by a tutorial which will guide you through the basic game play within the game including the build function and the construction of houses and businesses for the city.

Goals will be assigned by the tutorial guide and continue throughout play, these help you rise to the next level. Friends on Facebook contribute to your city, the more friends you have, the faster this progression will be. If you can understand basic concepts of this game, it will be easier to get started in Cityville.

Each time you create anything you are rewarded with resources, which bounce into the game screen waiting to be clicked and accepted. The first resource is known as cash and coins which you use to build structures such as houses for you people, community centers and businesses, which earn you more coins and cash through providing a service to the town.

The next resource is energy, this is one of the harder resources to generate because every function performed uses energy points, although every five minutes another unit is added to your resources. It's best not to try and perform too many functions early on so you will have enough of the resource to get you to the next levels. You also gain energy when you go to visit the city's of your friends, this is the easiest way to generate energy.

Crops from the farms you build will generate a resource known as goods. Use these goods to stock and supply the businesses you have built within your city. When the businesses use the goods they create a service which generates more cash and coins to use to build more businesses or community centers. As you advance through the levels you are able to establish trade with your neighbors using the goods.

To advance to the next level, a certain amount of experience points (XP) will need to be generated, to do this complete many tasks such as building flags, or linking the railway or taking your city dwellers on tours of neighbors city's, undertaking the goals will also create XP.

If you are looking for a game to keep you entertained for hours on end, then look no further then this highly addictive game which has surprises throughout game play to keep you interested.
