Launching of Verizon iPhone 4

By Kim Thomas

Putting an end for all the rumors the Verizon iPhone 4 is finally into the market .To have this product on America's most reliable wireless network customers and non-customers have been waiting for long. Those who couldn't grab one during presale, this will be a wonderful opportunity to have one. To purchase the coveted Smartphone they can just line up at any of several retail shop.

The demand for the Verizon iPhone is initially very strong, as Apple and Verizon both appear to have run out of pre-sale stock of the new CDMA iPhone and are directing customers to wait until Feb. 9 to purchase the device online or Feb. 10 for in-store purchases. We all know about the Retina display, LED flash camera, Face Time video calling, folders as well as multitasking. But Verizon is offering a personal hotspot feature, due to which one can connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. In fact, the feature works well. The Verizon iPhone 4 retails for $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a two-year contract.

On February 10th, Thursday the iPhone 4 was available online to Verizon Wireless customers. As per the officials point of view it was the most successful first day sale in the history of all Smartphone. More than a dozen people stood in line outside a Verizon store even before the store opened, to buy the new phone in Atlanta and Georgia. Other than AT & T, customers have been calling for Apple to offer the iPhone on networks because that network is known for dropped calls. From now there will be iPhones in the Great Plains states which will all be Verizon ones.

The latest hotspot feature has a single demerit that it is not advanced enough to compete with the GSM network of AT&T. The entire new stock of Verizon iPhones was sold out within a few hours on pre sale and now the customers have to wait till next week to buy the product.

AT&T fired back at Verizon to convince the existing customers of around 2.5 million to stick with them by introducing a new plan of "Mobile to Any Mobile", which offers them unlimited calls to crossed network for free. The draw back is that, the buyers must pay an additional amount of $20 to their monthly bills, already be paying for a bump themselves including the monthly texts.
