A List of WOW Ore Mining Locations

By Germaine Mackell

World of Warcraft is a popular MMORPG. In the game, the mining profession is used to locate and mine ore. This ore can be refined into pure metals and alloys for other professions to earn WOW gold, such as blacksmiths, jewelers and engineers. Ore deposits also contain stones and gems. They are also used in crafting. Every miner has the "Find Minerals" ability. You need to be in the correct area before you can locate these deposits.

WOW players can get a small pet chicken. The chicken cannot help players in combat. It stays with the players as a companion. Unlike most other companion pets in the game, players get the chicken through a secret quest of sorts. Both the horde and alliance can add it to their companion collection. The chicken counts toward the various companion achievements.

The best mining skill you can learn without owning any of the expansion packs is Artisan mining. Fel iron cannot be mined without the "Burning Crusades" expansion as the area its deposits are not accessible without it. With artisan mining you can begin mining dark iron at 230 skill, small thorium at 230, rich thorium at 275, and fel iron at 300. Dark iron deposits are in the Molten Core and Blackrock Depths. Small thorium and rich thorium both contain thorium ore. However, rich deposits convey more ore. Both types of thorium deposit are in the Burning Steppes, Un'Goro Crater and Silithus. Small thorium deposits are in the Felwood. Rich thorium deposits are in Winterspring and Eastern Plaguelands. You can find Fel iron deposits in every part of the Outland continent, but Hellfire Peninsula is in the place it's often found.

Next, you should right click the chicken and accept the Cluck quest. With the chicken still targeted, type "/cheer" and press "Enter". You can find a yellow question mark over the chicken's head. Right click the chicken and click "Complete quest". You can find an ovum next to the chicken.

In addition, right click the egg, and you can find the item in your stock. Then, you should right click it again to add the pet chicken to your collection. Open your spellbook and click "Companions" to summon the chicken.
